NOTICE FOR ONTARIO WORKPLACES: Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD) COVID-19

The MLTSD has inspected 10,716 workplaces as of mid-June1. The MLTSD Inspectors are checking workplaces to ensure Employers have COVID-19 controls in place to protect the Health & Safety of their Employees and help reduce the spread of COVID-19. For example, they may want to see what type of screening process has been put in place, what education/training has been given to Employees and what other controls/precautions have been implemented. The Inspectors do not have a prescribed checklist of items they are looking for but are working from the sector-specific guidance sheets and resources they have put out, available at this link

Evidence for the Excellence program

Holly and Nancy have been spending their Friday mornings with the WSIB for the past six weeks learning what the WSIB and their validators are looking for in terms of evidence for the WSIB Excellence program.
