The COVID-19 pandemic hit small businesses the hardest. To offer relief, small employers in Ontario with 99 or less employees are being offered an incentive by the WISB to invest in their health and safety programs.

The incentives being offered by the WSIB include:
Double the rebate for topics completed in 2022
Pay an additional $1,000 towards the provider fee for the development of action plans in 2022
Retroactively double the rebate for topics completed since March 2020 for eligible businesses who enroll in new topics this year
No cap on rebates! Initially when the program launched, employers could only earn up to 75% of their premiums back. In the small business HSEp, this cap is being removed.
