Dealing with employee absences can be challenging. Managers need to strike a delicate balance of promoting healthy work-life habits, like staying home when you are not fit for duty or when you have family obligations, while also managing the impact that employee absenteeism has on the workplace
Learn how to take appropriate action and understand your legal obligation.
In this webinar, we will touch on the proper way to deal with minor absences, while focusing on how to deal with lengthy or frequent absences. The goal of this session is for supervisors/managers to recognize when there may be underlying issues so they can take appropriate actions to deal with the situation. It is important to understand that discipline is not always the most appropriate action, as organizations also have legal obligations to provide employees with accommodations and leaves of absence where appropriate. At the end of the session, we will review a couple of case scenarios and the considerations that management should take when dealing with these situations.
Following the event, a certificate will be provided as a record of your participation, and you will be provided with a link to re-watch a recorded version.
