System Updates & Server Maintenance

Systems 24-7 is on a weekly and monthly update schedule.

  • Wednesday 9:00 pm – 10:00 pm EST – System Updates

    • This update period is for bug fixes, minor feature updates or uploading of specific client requests

  • First Wednesday of any month 9:00 pm – 10:00 pm EST – Major System Updates

    • This update period is for launching new features and major feature updates that affect multiple clients and require new user guides

  • Sunday 11:00 pm – 12:00 am EST – Server Maintenance

    • This time period is for running Server updates, reboots and other standard maintenance practices. During this timeframe, Systems 24-7 will be inaccessible during reboot periods.

IT & Graphics Brown Out

The IT & Graphics Departments are closed from December 1st to January 1st of each year. During this time, no new requests for work will be accepted, including online course development, programming developments, or other specific tech requests. This scheduled brownout allows programmers and designers to clear existing projects off their plates and prioritize upcoming projects for each year.

  • May 15 and 18: Victoria Day

  • July 1: Canada Day

  • September 4 and 7: Labour Day

  • October 9 and 12: Thanksgiving

  • December 25: Christmas

  • December 28 to December 31: Holidays

  • January 1 (New Years) - 2027
